The Role

Be a part of our thrilling journey at JB Hi-Fi as we enhance our Supply Chain operations using advanced technology to drive collaboration and enhance efficiencies, particularly in our last mile deliveries. As a part of this transformation, we are offering exciting opportunities to join our team and be part of the next phase of our journey.

The Transport Planner is a newly established role in our supply chain division designed to assist the State Planning Hub in scheduling and planning bulky deliveries to our customers and stores. This role oversees all last mile activities, managing the movement of bulky items, logistics, and customer interactions.

Your key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Allocating routes to carriers and providing continuous support to delivery teams on the field through effective monitoring
• Generating end-of-day reports and feedback to Delivery Service Providers (DSPs) on productivity and customer service
• Reviewing special activities submitted by DSPs for approval, ensuring accurate billing
• Proactively communicating with customers regarding any delays or issues with their orders
• Building strong relationships with the Customer Service team by promptly addressing customer inquiries

About You

To excel in this role, you should have:

• 2 years of experience in logistics or a related field
• Proficiency in computer skills and familiarity with software packages like Microsoft Office and warehouse systems such as Oracle, SAP, AS400, and transport management systems
• Ability to adapt to change, overcome challenges, and prioritize tasks effectively while focusing on continuous improvement
• Prior experience in transport planning and scheduling is a plus
• Background in retail or e-commerce environments is desirable
