Leading Global Equities Long/Short manager is looking to make an addition to their investment team in Sydney covering a broad range of sectors throughout developed markets globally. The firm has an exceptional reputation, a high calibre investment team with a high performing and meritocratic culture.
The firm offers global coverage of stocks with excellent mentorship and development as well as advancement opportunities. The team is led by global specialists with leading reputations in the industry.
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and experience:
- Our client is open to a diverse range of background and qualifications with minimum of 2 years of experience gained in the finance industry, funds management, engineering, industry or management consulting;
- Candidates with engineering, science and other STEM degrees looking to apply their technical skills and industry knowledge into investing;
- Ideally you will have direct industry experience or technical expertise that you can apply to the investment process to add value;
- You will be highly numerate with strong business/industry analysis capabilities as well as related modelling and valuations skills;
- A genuine curiosity and strong analytical skills that can be applied to both bottom up and top down fundamental analysis across individual companies and broader industry sectors;
- A genuine investor mindset and passion for markets with the ability to filter ideas and reach conclusions efficiently;
- You will be naturally curious and an independent thinker who loves to solve problems and think outside the box;
- You will be working in a fast-paced environment and you will be proactive and be able to generate and assess ideas with precision and efficiency;
- Strong written and communication skills;
- Ability to distil complex technical information/data;
- Interest in deep dive research and analysis across companies and industry; and
- An entrepreneurial and commercial mindset/outlook.
