We're looking for an AWS Engineer to join our global team. This global team ensures the availability, security, and efficiency of key automation products. In this role, you'll manage and support several AWS environments specifically for hosting Splunk Enterprise solutions. You'll work closely with the Splunk team to understand and meet their AWS hosting needs, focusing on security, networking, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement secure cloud solutions on AWS that meet business needs, focusing on security and networking.
  • Use Terraform to create and configure virtual systems in AWS.
  • Upgrade and update cloud infrastructure to improve efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Deploy and configure Splunk using AWS services like EC2, SSM, and Lambda.
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery procedures.
  • Manage infrastructure scaling to reduce costs while maintaining performance.
  • Use scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to automate AWS service management.
  • Build tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting in AWS.
  • Create technical documentation.
  • Support Splunk engineering colleagues in understanding and using AWS environments.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures in daily tasks.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Strong understanding of AWS services and best practices.
  • Experience with Terraform Enterprise or similar multi-cloud provisioning platforms.
  • Proficient in programming with AWS APIs and using AWS SDKs.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline deployments using tools like Ansible, Jenkins, and ServiceNow.
  • Knowledge of AWS security, high availability, and cost management using Infrastructure-As-Code.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
  • Ability to build self-service, self-healing, scalable, and secure cloud capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
  • Full proficiency in English and excellent communication skills.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with other public clouds (GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with RedHat Ansible for automation.
  • Previous experience with Splunk Enterprise as a user or infrastructure support.
