We are currently seeking experienced
Underground Fitters to join our Wambo Mine.

Our Wambo mine complex is an underground mine located 30 kilometers west of Singleton that produce metallurgical and thermal coal for export and domestic markets.


Reporting to the Mechanical Engineering Manager, your role will be to routinely inspect, repair and maintain machinery and mechanical equipment in line with manufacturing requirements and safe operating procedures.


Duties will include:

  • Installing mechanical plant and equipment
  • Faultfinding and repairing mechanical plant and equipment including hydraulic systems
  • Maintaining mechanical plant and equipment as required
  • Assist with production when required
  • Participating in maintenance planning activities

The lifestyle:


This position will be offered to align with current site roster arrangements of 3 x 12 hour shifts per week.


About you:

  • Mechanical trade qualifications
  • Experience working in underground mining operations
  • High level of interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Ability to participate in risk assessments and manage risk
  • Strong commitment to safety as a way of life
