About the role


Mater Pharmacy has an exciting opportunity for a
Clinical Trials Pharmacy Technician to join our Clinical Trials Unit team on a permanent basis working part-time, 2 days a week (Thursday's and Friday's).

Salary range:
$ $33.66 (Operational Employees Level 3) per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900**
What you'll be doing

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Pharmacy Clinical Trials Unit throughout the hospital complex in compliance with hospital policy, relevant Acts, standards and Code of Practice
  • Liaising with pharmacy, medical, nursing, allied health staff to optimise patient outcomes by working to achieve the best quality use of investigational medicines and to support and promote clinical research at Mater Hospitals SEQ.
  • Establishment and closedown activities
  • Development of drug accountability forms
  • Liaison with Study coordinators and clinical monitors
  • Preparation of dispensing codes and familiarisation of dispensing procedures
  • Completion of drug accountability records
  • Ongoing administration activities
  • Maintaining inventory of shipment receipts and return of supplies
  • Ongoing liaison with clinical monitors
  • Monitoring of storage areas with temperature monitoring
  • Invoicing of clinical trials using inhouse invoicing procedures
  • Dispensing / drug accountability activities
  • Document appropriate dispensing and labelling
  • Maintenance of drug accountability including IXRS/IWRS/eCRF

About you
To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Minimum Certificate II or III in Hospital/Community Pharmacy (or equivalent) is essential
  • A professional attitude, effective communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
  • Passion for customer service and appreciation of the importance of delivering exceptional service every time
  • Professional, hardworking attitude and willing to work cooperatively and effectively with all team members
  • Previous relevant work experience in a clinical trials environment is highly desirable
  • GCP accreditation highly desirable
