About the role

Join our dynamic Operations V/Line team in Albury as one of the two newly appointed Track Protection Coordinators.

Reporting to the Daily Operations Manager, your work is vital to the safe and efficient planning, execution, and coordination of track protection. Your expertise will be crucial for the seamless progress of maintenance, renewal, and major works projects, as well as third-party initiatives. Key Accountabilities include:

Ensuring working environments are established and well maintained to provide safety and wellbeing for staff, community, customers, rolling stock and infrastructure. Uphold compliance with all statutory obligations, internal policies and procedures relevant to work responsibilities duties and work practices. Identify and report functional risks and manage mitigation strategies in areas of responsibility.

Selection criteria includes:

TFPC or equivalent (3.3) competency ARTC Protection Officer 1 qualified to apply controlled Signal Blocking as the protection method. Previous experience as a Track Protection Coordinator (essential) Highly developed communication skills, both written and verbal Current full driver's licence

Successful applicants will be required to undergo pre-employment screening including, probity (police) checks, medical assessment, and Australian entitlement to work. Employees of V/Line are required to maintain a valid Working with Children Check Victoria (Employee) for the duration of employment.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2019 and will commence at IMW TRACK 2.3 $ with 5 weeks annual leave, 20% leave loading and 11.5% superannuation.

Current employees are expected to remain in their role for a minimum of 12 months before applying to new positions within V/Line.
