Key Responsibilities


Lead and oversee a team of Mechanical EngineersEnsure quality of Mechanical deliverablesTrain and mentor engineers on the teamWorkload plan with local team as well as with global workshareInterface with Clients, project team and vendors to define project scope, resolve technical issues, and assist with preparation of procurement documents (technical specifications)Prepare engineering scope of work packages and work with vendors to supply mechanical equipment.

Complete Technical Bid EvaluationsCheck vendor equipment drawings to ensure design accuracy and compliance with specificationsCoordinate with vendor for packages and equipmentEnsure consistency and integrity of all major equipment in accordance with all codes and specificationsPerform studies and write reports on equipment selectionAdhere to project schedule and budget for all mechanical deliverables and provide feedback on budget/schedulesInterface with the other engineering disciplines (process, civil/structural, electrical, instrumentation, automation, etc.) to ensure a coordinated designProficient in ASME Sec.

VIII code for pressure vessel design, ASME B31.3 code for Piping, TEMA for Heat exchangers and API for pumps and compressors as well as all relevant Australian standards.

Key Skills

15+ years experience in Oil and Gas, EPCM experience is an assetMust possess strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.

Candidate must have experience with all types of mechanical equipment (static and rotating equipment as well as piping and valves)Experience with reciprocating compressors and Package Experience is an asset.

Must be familiar with Australian codes and standardsAbility to coordinate with other engineering disciplines.

Education & Qualifications

Mechanical Engineering degreeP. Eng. RPEQ is preferred15+ years oil and gas experience with EPCM background.
Package Engineering ExperienceReciprocating Compressor ExperienceKnowledge of relevant codes and standardsExperience leading of team of 5 or more Mechanical Engineers
