What's the role?


You will be based at the beautiful Sunshine Coast; we are seeking a passionate, skilled and growth minded Marketing Lead to join the business as our first marketing leadership hire.

This will be a green-fields role where you'll own the end to end strategy of our marketing from awareness, to acquisition, revenue and ultimately retention.

Partnering closely with sales, you'll drive the integration of our value props, communication and ultimately revenue outcomes for our SMB audience across the customer journey.

This role will own everything from SEO, SEM, web experience to CRM, email and content to drive lead generation.

As this is a new role you'll have huge opportunity for growth and hiring out a team around you, but it does mean you'll be a 'player-coach' type leader - as comfortable owning strategy as you are with your mouse in a spreadsheet or platform creating web pages.

Leadership and Management :
Proven ability to lead and manage a marketing team, including setting goals, providing direction, and motivating team members both direct reports and cross-functional partners (ie. sales)

Strategic Thinking :
Strong capability to develop and implement marketing strategies that align with business objectives

Digital Marketing Expertise :

Deep understanding of digital marketing channels (SEO, SEM, social media, email marketing, content marketing, etc.) and how to leverage them effectively.


Data & Analytics Skills :
Uses data as the north star for driving strategy (both qualitative and quantitative), sets key metrics to drive business outcomes and ultimately make data-driven decisions on the growth of the businessCustomer Relationship Management (CRM) : Working knowledge of CRM systems and strategies to nurture and grow customer relationships, particularly in a B2B environmentSales Alignment : Experience in aligning marketing strategies with sales objectives and working closely with sales teams to drive growth

Influence and Communication Skills :
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to convey ideas clearly and effectively to various stakeholders

Budget Management :
Experience in managing marketing budgets and optimizing spend to achieve maximum ROI. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.

Brand Management :
Experience in building and managing brand identity and ensuring brand consistency across all marketing channels

Content Creation and Management :
Ability to oversee and contribute to content creation, ensuring it aligns with the overall marketing strategy

Market Research :
Skills in conducting and interpreting market research to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive landscape

Innovation and Creativity :
Ability to think creatively and come up with innovative marketing ideas and campaigns

Qualifications & Experience:
Ideally hold an undergraduate degree in Marketing from a reputable university5+ years experience in a similar roleCertifications:We value industry certifications such as Google Certifications (Ads, Analytics), HubSpot Certifications (Content Marketing, Inbound Marketing), or othersLocation:This role requires you to be based at GoTransit's head office on the Sunshine Coast - Queensland, if you're currently based in another location please confirm your ability to relocate and time frame
