Building Surveyor - Fire Safety

• Permanent full time, 35 hours per week
• Salary range from $1,747.40 to $1, per week + 11% superannuation

About the role:

We are seeking an appropriately qualified Building Surveyor who will assist with the maintenance and continual development of Council's fire safety program.

You will be conducting fire safety assessments of proposed and existing buildings, to ensure compliance with Regulations.

You will assist in assessing and determining Complying Development, Construction, Occupation and Building Certificates for a variety of residential commercial and industrial developments.

The role also involves ensuring customer enquiries, building status enquiries and complaints in relation to Fire Safety are handled courteously, efficiently and effectively.

• Relevant tertiary qualification in building surveying, engineering or construction.
• Strong knowledge of legislative framework relating to building surveying or fire safety.
• Building Industry Induction Card (White Card).
• Previous Work Experience in a similar role.
• Class C Drivers Licence.
• Strong customer service skills and experience.
• Knowledge of Work Health and Safety principles.
• Experience in dealing with challenging customers
