The Integrity Branch within the Department of Education are seeking applications for an Executive Director to lead their team on a full-time temporary basis, for a period of 5 years, unless otherwise determined.
Within this role you will:
Lead the employee relations strategy for a large and dispersed workforce.
Lead a change program to drive performance improvement.
Oversee a dedicated team of up to 90 professionals.
Engage in meaningful stakeholder engagement with the school network.

About the RoleWe are seeking a dynamic Executive Director with strong professional leadership and management capabilities to oversee Integrity and Employee Relations.
This role demands an adept leader who can manage a wide range of integrity and employee relations matters, including industrial relations strategy, workplace investigations and conduct advisory, and effective negotiation and stakeholder management.
The successful candidate will be instrumental in delivering government priorities and ensuring excellence in client service delivery.Collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders is crucial to this role, as is the ability to provide high-level leadership.
Performance will be assessed based on four key accountability perspectives:financial, stakeholder and outcome, internal business, and learning and growth.
The Executive Director will lead the efficient use of resource allocations within budget constraints, identifying success and risk factors to ensure high-quality outcomes.
Stakeholder management involves engaging with unions and other key stakeholders to drive implementation of certified agreements, drive change initiatives, and deliver best-practice employee relations services.
Internally, the role requires leading business improvement strategies, cultural reforms, and providing expert advice to senior executives. Additionally, the Executive Director will embed rigorous risk management models to maintain the department's reputation in a high-profile environment. In terms of learning and growth, the role involves advocating for professionalism, driving organisational transformation, and developing team capabilities.This position reports to the Assistant Director-General, Human Resources, and requires a dedicated individual committed to serving the government and the people of Queensland, with a proven record of leadership in complex organisations across various sectors.
The role will suit a candidate who has a strong industrial legal background, large scale leadership and adept at building relationships at multiple levels.
