Responsibilities:

  • Install, repair, and maintain underground pipelines and utility systems according to project specifications and engineering drawings.
  • Prepare trenches and excavations for pipeline installation, ensuring proper alignment and grade.
  • Lay, position, and align pipes in trenches, ensuring accurate slope and grade for efficient flow.
  • Connect pipe sections using appropriate fittings, valves, and connectors, and secure them in place.
  • Install and test pipe systems for water, sewer, drainage, or other utilities, ensuring proper functionality.
  • Operate and maintain construction equipment, such as excavators, backhoes, and trenchers, to assist in pipeline installation.
  • Collaborate with the construction team and follow project plans and instructions to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations, promoting a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
  • Inspect and maintain tools, equipment, and materials, reporting any issues or deficiencies to the supervisor.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient workflow and successful project outcomes.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Pipelayer in civil construction projects.
  • Knowledge of underground utility systems, including water, sewer, drainage, and related infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with construction tools, equipment, and machinery used in pipeline installation.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and project specifications.
  • Strong understanding of safety procedures and protocols related to pipeline installation.
  • Physical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditions and demanding environments.
  • Excellent problemsolving skills and ability to adapt to changing project requirements.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with the construction team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to travel to different project sites as required.
