Job Description

Tactical Data Network Test Support responsible for providing technical SME advice to the Tactical Datalink Bureau (TDLB) on Land Domain TDL systems with a focus on Joint Fires Systems. Experience with BMS-Fires, Observer mission systems, Fire Unit Systems and Land Manoeuvre systems would be highly regarded.

The role with involve the test set up of multiple RF or IP based systems for system and interoperability testing. The ability to assist in user evaluation and provide technical advice to projects involved in the Land Domain.

A main focus of the role will include:

  • Support TDLB in the conduct and reporting of Conformance to Standard Testing
  • Support TDLB in the conduct and reporting of Quick Assessment and Quick Looks of Land Systems
  • Support TDLB in the conduct and assessment relating to interoperability of Joint Systems
  • Provide advice to Project relating to VMF message implementation and Combat Net Radio networking

Qualifications

Qualifications and/or Experience

Ideally, we are looking for someone that has

  • Recognised qualifications or experience in Microsoft technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with Defence Commsec equipment, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated knowledge and skills in RF Communications.
  • Experience with Defence communications systems.

This role requires the successful applicant to be an Australian Citizen and hold a minimum NV-2 level Australian security clearance.
