Your Impact

As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Semaphore South, you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation and to extend your network of relationships with children, families and educators.

You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team. The role is dual, time floating across the service working within the rooms and time in the office.

You will establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre's local community.

About Goodstart Semaphore South

Goodstart Early Learning Semaphore South is situated in Adelaide's west, near the northern beaches of Adelaide. Caters for 115 children, catering to all early learning age groups from 6 weeks to 5 years. The centre is open from 6.30am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday.

The centre places great emphasis on parent and community participation and are guided by their parents in regard to their children's interests so that tailor made activities are provided on an individual basis.

To ensure the highest quality of care within their large facility, the team at Goodstart Semaphore South encourage small groups with individual carers.

This has been a successful strategy that has promoted excellence in care and education.
The centre is committed to creating a warm and welcoming community focused centre. They look forward to building and maintaining meaningful and true relationships with all our families and children.

You'll help achieve this by

Support the centre director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the centre director's absence
Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
