About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver high level Optometry clinical services and providing a range of ophthalmic diagnostic testing for the primary purpose of glasses prescription, in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards with minimal direct clinical supervision.
  • Provide timely, high level clinical advice to a range of health professionals, supervisors, managers and stakeholders, both internal and external to the HHS, regarding Optometry service delivery at Woodford Corrections health, including prioritisation and changes in clinical practice, equipment and technological advances.
  • Monitor and report on clinical practices and outcomes within specialist clinical service areas, and advocate for service improvements that enhance the delivery of Optometry services across Caboolture Kilcoy Woodford Directorate and wider Metro North Health, utilising identification and application of guidelines and business improvement plans.
