The Federal Government's new Child Care Subsidy (CCS) took effect in July 2023, with the aim of making early learning (childcare) services more affordable for families.

The ramifications of that will bring considerable change right across this sector, with many experts seeing it as the dawning of a better, more equitable age.


This non-profit, member-funded and sponsored peak body organisation is at the forefront of this transformation, working on behalf of early learning service providers to ensure families and their children can easily access affordable, high-quality early learning services throughout Australia.


In the process of re-shaping and re-invigorating its peak body NFP business to meet these changed circumstances, a wonderful opportunity has emerged for an experienced Operations Manager for the RTO affiliated with this well-established national membership organisation.


This is a brand-new role that is both 'copybook' in its structure and systems (that is, you've likely done it all before) but very exciting in that it will also be unique in execution and consistently 'breaking new ground'.

There are around 800 members - many of them owner/operators of child-care centres, with various content and cultural requirements.

So, you will need to bring a very clear appreciation of what an RTO actually is, what is expected of a high-functioning Operations Manager, how the current reforms, policy and legislative requirements affect your work and - above all - a driving passion for identifying improvements and special solutions.


Roundly experienced, operationally focused and an adept problem solver, you will need to be a self-starter with an open mind, lots of energy and particularly effective advocacy and negotiation skills.
