Job Description:

This position is accountable for supporting the movement of material in support of Engine Overhaul, Gas Compressors Overhaul and Service Parts operations within Solar Melbourne Overhaul Product Center.

Dimensions- Independently performs scheduled and assigned tasks and work activities.- Responsible for the parts and overhaul warehousing.- Typically manages multiple assignments simultaneously with urgent deadlines.

Nature and Scope

Report to Area Manager of Overhaul Business Management in Asia Pacific Region.

And working together with Overhaul Logistics Specialist and materials planner to manage all the engine and compressor overhaul activities in Melbourne facility.

No direct report.

Principal Accountabilities

Principal accountabilities may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Receive, sort, store, issue, stage, move, dispatch, and ship materials, parts, tools, assemblies in and out in support Service Parts, Engine Overhaul and Gas Compressors Overhaul operations.
• Material to be delivered to upstream customer on time with special attention of overall accuracy and completion of all required documentation and systems transactions.
• Contribute to daily responsibilities regarding safety in work area.
• Determine the sequence of work order requirements necessary to comply with schedule requirements.
• Operate, 1 Ton, 4 Ton & 12 Ton forklifts, to move materials, parts, tooling, and assemblies to and from locations within the facility.
• Plan and execute the methods necessary for loading and unloading all types of vehicles used in the transportation of receiving and shipping material.
• Perform all the assigned duties necessary to maintain the shipping and receiving areas throughout Solar, also keeping the work area in a clean environment.
• Maybe be required to work overtime on weekends when work demand calls for it.-
  Qualifications:To be successful in the position.
• You must demonstrate the ability to operate material handling equipment such as overhead crane, forklifts, order picker and pallet jacks in a safe manner to properly store/handle large pieces of equipment utilized in the warehousing, logistics and production value streams
• Minimum educational requirement
• Good verbal & English written skills, attention to detail.
• 3-5 years related industrial experience, formal certification or equivalent, experience in warehousing is preferred
• Ability to operate shop equipment associated with warehousing
• Basic computer skills, MS excel, word, etc.
• Forklift license is a requirement.
