In this 12 month Fixed Term Contract as the Product Manager in nib Travel, you will lead all aspects of product design and development for our travel insurance and global market products, ensuring that products are competitive in market, deliver profitable growth within the portfolio, and reflect robust risk selection.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with Senior Management to assess, develop and implement product changes and enhancements
  • Maintaining, implementing and enhancing all aspects of product configuration within systems and product documentation
  • Ensuring portfolios are managed within the terms of binding authority agreements
  • Liaising with external insurers/reinsurers as required in order to deliver our products, and foster positive relationships with stakeholders
  • Providing leadership and mentoring to direct reports in junior product roles

With previous experience in a similar role in the travel insurance industry, other skills and experience that will set you up for success include:

  • Strong understanding of the dynamics that contribute to product performance (product design, pricing, distribution, the external environment)
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to manage self, as well as junior team members
  • Demonstrated skills to manage a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Passion for enabling timely decision making based on data driven insights
  • Experience working with international or global market products will be highly regarded
