  • We are currently seeking experienced support workers to join our team and provide exceptional care to NDIS participants across Melbourne, including areas such as Brighten, Hawthorne, Clayton, and many more.
  • We value individuals who can engage in meaningful conversations, enjoy a good laugh, and bring creative flair to their work. Applicants should be prepared to assist clients with activities of daily living and household tasks, with training provided.
  • We offer regular ongoing shifts including mornings, afternoons, and evenings, with contract and casual opportunities available.

General duties include;

  • Provide personal care and support and assistance to individuals in their own homes
  • Domestic tasks
  • Meal preparation and services
  • Assistance with activities of daily living
  • Transport to and from medical appointments and social outings
  • Supporting people with complex needs

To be successful you will need:

  • An understanding of delivering care in a person centered way.
  • A positive, reliable, empathetic approach to support people of all ages and backgrounds living with a disability
  • Availability and to be reliable & punctual.
  • Clear and effective communication skills and ability to speak another language is highly desirable
  • The ability to problem solve and keep strictly to the program and routine
  • Ability to engage positively with a variety of personality types
  • Ability to fulfill shift duties and have excellent time management skills
  • Have appropriate visa to work in Australia
  • Have an empathetic and understanding approach to providing care to people with complex needs including mental health
  • Must be a competent and knowledgeable cook

Required qualifications

  • Certificate 111 or above in disability, aged care, community care with minimum 6 months work experience
  • Current Police check within the last 12 months or willingness to obtain prior to employment
  • Working with Children Check (WWC)
  • NDIS worker screening check (NDIS-WC)
  • Smart phone with the ability to install apps
  • Current first aid/CPR certificate
  • Drivers license and own fully insured transport
  • Completion of the NDIS new worker module or willingness to complete as part of the organizations induction process.
  • Manual Handling training (or willing to obtain)
  • International Police check (if applicable)
  • COVID19 Vaccination Certificate or Immunization evidence
  • Students encouraged to apply
  • Flexibility around availability is essential in this role, with the ability to work variety of shifts
