• Familiarity with all regulation, legislation and standards associated with rail
• Inspection, diagnosis and maintenance of all wagons
• Structural inspections and repairs
• Work efficiently in order to repair wagons to not impact train services
• Promote the continued improvement of the regulations concerning rail safety and rolling stock
• Understanding of preventative maintenance principles
• If required attend rail safety review meetings with respective authorities
• Additional tasks from time to time as requested by your manager.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Desired Skills and Experience

• The ability to create and maintain strong working relationships
• Strong focus on Occupational Health and Safety
• Ability to pass a Category 3 Rail Medical
• Boiler Maker qualifications
• Rail industry experience with exposure to Rail Safety Management Systems and maintenance management systems
