**Do work that matters: Risk Management is responsible for developing the risk frameworks to allow the Group to take conscious exposures to credit, market, operational, compliance and insurance risks within a Board-approved appetite.


Business Banking (BB) is one of the three client facing business groups within the Commonwealth Bank and provides support to the Group's Corporate, Agricultural, Business, and Commsec clients.

The BB Risk Management team provide specialist risk services and advice.

**See yourself in our team: The High-Volume Business Credit (HVBC) team is a centralised decisioning team that reviews and advises on smaller and less complex deals for BB business units within a low touch, high volume model.


We are responsible for credit monitoring and overview, interpretation of policy, operational risk, training and guidance within risk teams and Business Bankers.

This role will work across all industries in the Regional & Agribusiness portfolios.

In any given week you will:

  • Conduct analysis of industry changes which might impact risk outcomes and being able to recognise and recommend appropriate changes to structuring of proposals to counteract these changes.
  • Contribute to the ongoing improvement of the Risk Management culture by actively looking to improve policies and systems so that BB RM can provide excellent customer service to the business. Provide advice and assistance to team members on the development of strategies to manage, mitigate and price for risk; whilst fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Graduate or post graduate degrees in business, finance or another related field.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills as well as relationship building skills.
  • Adaptability to think outside the box and willingness to learn. The ability to make sound riskbased decisions with awareness or potential relevant industry issues which could impact credit environments.
