Wood is recruiting a Lead Technical Safety Engineer with relevant design expertise in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects to join our global Operations business. This engagement is a permanent opportunity to support the expansion of the Operations business.

Wood is recruiting a Lead Technical Safety Engineer with relevant design expertise in Brownfields Oil & Gas projects to join our global Operations business. This engagement is a permanent opportunity to support the expansion of the Operations business.

To be considered for this opportunity, you will ideally hold full working rights to be able to work lawfully in this Australian location. Candidates with ongoing visa applications are encouraged to apply.

You will be suitably qualified in an Engineering Degree from a recognised institution and have:

  • 12+ years experience in safety engineering for a hydrocarbons processing / petroleum production facilities within Australia and preferably on brownfields projects (existing assets).
  • A strong appreciation for Technical Safety Engineering principles, processes and philosophies
  • Mature expertise and discretion in applying knowledge of safety regulation frameworks and applicable codes/ standards,
  • Commercial wisdom
  • Excellent report writing and interpersonal communication skills
  • Demonstrated facilitation skills and effective client interfacing
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting and coaching junior engineering professionals.
