Role Description/Criteria

We are seeking an experienced social worker to:

  • provide instructional and behavioural support to behaviourally challenging students at Salesian College Sunbury (the College)
  • To support the skill acquisition of appropriate skills and behaviours to assist young people succeed in life through the delivery of targeted learning programs
  • To inform practice through collecting and analysing behavioural data, and
  • To role model, at all times, the Salesian ethos through presence to the young people and staff at our College.
- previous experience (preferably in a school or institutional setting), effectively implementing behavioural interventionist strategies to support diverse young people and their families
- at least five years' work experience supporting children with additional needs
- willingness to gain or currently hold a minimum Graduate Certificate in Behaviour Intervention or similar qualification, and
- possess (or can obtain) a current Drivers Licence, Working with Children Check and National Police Check.
