Suncorp Group are looking for an enthusiastic Risk Engineering Coordinator to provide a comprehensive and professional range of support services to Assist Risk Engineering deliver on its customer service proposition.

This role is a full time, 12-month contract role based in Melbourne.

What you'll do


The support services cover all aspects of the team's output including report formatting, performance reporting, credit control, travel, procedures and maintaining our central SharePoint site.


The main customers are Risk Engineering team members, but the role will also deal with other stakeholders including underwriters and external suppliers.


Your other duties will include the following:

  • Contribute to the team operating efficiently in line with departmental expense budget
  • Final formatting of reports prior to distribution to customers
  • Support the peer review process
  • Administer the Fee for Service Quotation process including credit control
  • Create and distribute performance measure reports
  • Manage the Risk Engineering SharePoint site administration
  • Handle team travel requirements in line with the Suncorp Travel Policy
  • Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and up to date
  • Support coordination for Risk Engineering conferences and training events
  • Undertake ad hoc support services such as ordering equipment, catering, clothing, business cards, calibrating gauges.

What you'll bring

  • Prior administration or insurance experience is desired
  • Highly effective communication skills
  • Analytical skills ability to develop solutions and courses of action by using an information base to identify key issues, compare with other data and determine causeeffect relationships.
  • Able to coordinate travel requirements for the team
  • Demonstrated experience presenting reports and execution excellence
  • Excellent customer service skills and be highly organised
  • Experience within a corporate environment, preferably within the insurance industry
  • Knowledge of IT constructs or experience in a business support role will be highly regarded
