To be successful for this role,

  • PMO leadership within Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO) in a large complex organisation;
  • Demonstrated confident and collaborative interpersonal ability in working with a wide range of personalities;
  • Experience in program governance and risk management, setting project management standards, templates, tools and processes;
  • Experience in working with project teams to continuously improve Business Cases, Change Requests, Status Reports and Steering Committee material.
  • Experience in monitoring and evaluation of project progress, issues and risks in line with established benefits, scope, schedule and budget.
  • Experience in PMO transformations, i.e. from nonAgile environments into Agile / Scrum;
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile, ideally SAFe Agile and Scrum;
  • Experience in facilitating / Chairing workshops, steering committees and presentations;
  • Demonstrated experience in establishing project status reporting and project cadence;

Highly desirable experience:

  • Experience within NSW Government organisations;
  • Experience with toolsets such as Jira, PlanView / Cloud View;

You are a highly experienced Agile PMO manager with all the essential skills noted above demonstrated under each relevant position on your resume in a neat fashion.


You will be joining a large government organization that is currently transforming its Project and Program Management portfolio into an Agile and robust environment.


You will work closely with program managers in assisting them to better manage, control and report the projects within their portfolio.

While this is a leadership position, it is more of a facilitator and collaborator of portfolio.

The personality fit, is extremely important due to the close stakeholder relationship management aspect of the position.


They are looking for someone with exceptional and confident communications and interpersonal skills who is able to work collaboratively with a wide range of personalities within a large and fast paced environment.
