Principal Education Officer, Accreditation and Government Funding Eligibility - Registration Services Education (Organisation site ) Policy, Performance, International and Intergovernmental Division As Principal Education Officer, Accreditation and Government Funding Eligibility you will collaborate and assist Managers to provide authoritative recommendations advice and information to the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB), the Director-General and the Minister on educational, accreditation and eligibility for government funding matters.

You will also contribute to the development, management and application of programs andprocedures to support the regulation of accreditation and eligibility for government funding of non-state schools in Queensland.

Your Opportunity:

Collaborate with and assist Managers and the Executive Director to provide authoritative recommendations, advice and information to the Non-State Schools Accreditation Board (NSSAB), the Director-General and the Minister on educational, accreditation and eligibility for government funding matters.

Contribute to the development, management and application of programs and procedures to support the regulation of accreditation and eligibility for government funding of non-state schools in Queensland.

Your Role You will have responsibility for leading the following activities and delivery of the following key tasks: Proactively contribute and provide expert advice for the development and application of procedures to review, assess and prepare recommendations to NSSAB on applications for accreditation and eligibility for government funding of proposed non-state schools, as well as changes to the accreditation and eligibility for government funding of existing schools.

Contribute to the development, management and application of procedures to review, assess and prepare recommendations to NSSAB on accreditation and eligibility for government funding and on unaccredited places.

Coordinate and oversee the non-state schools demonstration of compliance program, including the analysis and assessment of plans and reports, the preparation of recommendations and advice to NSSAB and correspond with schools on compliance outcomes.

Coordinate and oversee the non-state school accreditation assessment program and the unaccredited places program, including the engagement and deployment of authorised persons, and conduct training and briefing sessions and act as an authoritative point of reference for stakeholders.

Support the management of NSSAB's statutory compliance requirements by assisting with the preparation and review of the Board's annual report, strategic and operational plans and other key documents.

Prepare and respond to correspondence between NSSAB and applicants and other parties as part of the accreditation, funding eligibility and compliance processes.

Conduct high level research, analysis, interpretation and review of non-state schools legislation and other impacting issues in order to provide advice, briefings or prepare correspondence for NSSAB, the Minister and senior management.

Provide high level support to the management and leadership of the accreditation and government funding eligibility team and the branch.

Other suitable duties, consistent with the duties and responsibilities of the position as directed by the supervisor or nominated delegate.
