Demand for our products and services means we currently have an opening for a Customer Relations Specialist at our Melbourne branch.

The role involves:

  • Work alongside the Customer Relations & Marketing Director
  • Answer Inbound telephone sales/technical enquiries
  • Refer new customer enquiries to the Customer Relations & Marketing Director
  • Develop, manage and maintain solid relationships with customers & key accounts
  • Be the main point of contact between Key Accounts and other internal team members
  • Translate and data entry of sales quotes for existing customers
  • Translate and data entry of sales orders
  • Action orders in the Sales Inbox
  • Source products externally as required
  • Periodically visit agreed Taipan Key Customers along with one week of travel away per month
  • Use strategic planning to develop a thorough understanding of Taipan customers' needs and requirements offering customized solutions
  • Use a collaborative and open approach to resolving customer issues/complaints
  • Maintain regular contact to provide effective and interactive customer relationship management
  • Ensure open communication
  • Update customer records in company databases
  • Attend & participate in scheduled meetings and training as required
  • Achieve agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) set by the Customer Relations & Marketing Director
  • Liase with counter sales/walk in customers
  • Comply with Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
  • Other duties as requested by Taipan management

To be successful you'll need some or all of the following:

  • Hose and fittings product knowledge desirable
  • Parts Interpreter experience desirable
  • Customer service skills and salesmanship
  • Communication skills
  • Valid full driver's licence
  • Information and communication technology (ICT) literate
