As a key member of the Project Development team, you will be responsible for securing land agreements, conducting internal environmental and planning due diligence assessments, coordinating specialist consultants for planning applications, and facilitating community consultations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop professional relationships across all levels to maximize opportunities.
  • Manage communication channels to ensure clarity on project progress.
  • Liaise with various Government Departments to obtain relevant approvals.
  • Select consultants/experts for project-specific needs and manage their output and quality.
  • Actively participate in industry forums to elevate the company's profile.
  • Secure options, leases, and site-specific permits.
  • Identify and initiate suitable project sites.
  • Provide regular project status reports internally and as required by clients.
  • Negotiate land leases and acquisitions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project development, particularly in land agreements and environmental/planning due diligence.
  • Knowledge of town planning and the development approval process at state and council levels.
  • Successful track record in negotiating land leases, acquisitions, and permits.
  • Experience in managing project budgets and schedules.


Desirables:

  • Membership in relevant professional bodies or associations.
  • Additional certifications in environmental assessments or project management.

  • Project Management - Creation and management of project programs and budgets.
  • Communication Skills - Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Technical Proficiency - Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Industry Involvement - Actively participates in relevant industry forums.
  • Document Control - Excellent document control and filing skills.
  • Team Collaboration - Experience working in diverse multidisciplinary teams.

Salary: $90k-$110k/year + super
