McNab is currently expanding due to continued growth and success, we are looking for experienced Boilermakers across the Brisbane and surrounding region.


What we are looking for:


You will be joining our team where you will have the opportunity to work on and execute several exciting projects across SEQ.

The work is varied, and you will get exposure to Residential, Commercial, Aged Care, Health, Education, Food and Processing, Hotels and Student Residences, Industrial and Retirement projects.

We have developed specialised teams to work on exciting projects valued anywhere between $5M - $100M.

  • Trade qualified Boilermakers
  • Construction White Card
  • EWP, Dogging, Working at Heights and Rigging tickets are advantageous
  • MIG and structural weld experience required
  • Confident in welding within a Construction environment
  • Knowledge of varying types of metals, their properties and suitability of welding techniques
  • Strong reading and interpretation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and take pride in completing a job well done
  • Ability to work safely independently or with others in a team
  • Have strong communication skills and a keenness for ongoing learning
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transport, as travel is required throughout SEQ

Duties:

  • Ability to MIG and structural weld competently
  • Reading and interpreting technical drawings and specs to understand project requirements and determine the appropriate welding method
  • Work with the site team to provide technical support, guidance, knowledge of welding processes and remain on target to achieve deadlines
  • Knowledge of how to safely transport productions to construction sites
  • Selecting the correct material to prepare structural components, plates, pipes etc ready for fabrication
  • Operation of tools and equipment on site
  • Using the correct welding techniques to ensure a quality standard finish
  • Assembling metal parts to ensure proper alignment and structural integrity
  • Inspection and quality checks on completed work to confirm adherence to specs and standards
  • Conducting defect and maintenance repairs or modifications on existing or structures
  • Working with site and project teams to troubleshoot and contribute to best practice of fabrication processes
  • Adhering to safety procedures, guidelines and wearing correct PPE at all times
  • Maintenance of fabrication tools, equipment, and workspaces
