Headquartered in Nowra, New South Wales, QinetiQ Air Affairs provides targets and training services, and electronic warfare capabilities to the Australian Defence Force, in addition to aerial surveillance and reconnaissance in support of government firefighting efforts.
Air Affairs owns and operates a fleet of special mission aircraft and maintains an advanced manufacturing and engineering facility providing design, manufacture and certification operations .We are taking expressions of interest from pilots looking to join our team that support a variety of special missions' contracts.
Our fleet is made up of Lear 30 & Lear 60 Series and Beechcraft KingAir 200 aircraft and is based nationwide.
Our pilots, in supporting a number of special mission's contracts are usually required to;Be available for on call (short notice 1 – 2 hrs) deploymentPilot an aircraft in support of bushfire mapping, charter or medivac missionsCollaborate with your team to plan and deliver the missionBe available for countrywide (and sometimes overseas) travelWhat you will bring;A minimum of 1500 PIC.A current CPL (Ideally ATPL)A current class 1 medicalWhat you will receive;A permanent flying opportunity with ongoing trainingA career opportunity within a global defence companyA role that will see you take part in unique aviation experiencesTo be considered for this role you will need;A willingness to work on call at short noticeHigh levels of awareness and a safety first attitudeYou will also need to have;A current ME IPCA valid Part 61 LicenceMCC (LearJet Only)By applying to this EOI you are acknowledging you are joining our talent pool for current and future requirements.
