About the Role

Explore exciting opportunities at WesTrac as we are currently looking for a skilled technician to join our team as a Site Performance Specialist based at Hunter Valley Operations.

Reporting to the Mining Support Manager, the Site Performance Specialist will play a crucial role in enhancing our mining customers' return on their fleet investments. Responsibilities include providing technical support, offering advice on equipment optimization, and analyzing fleet performance data to enhance overall asset performance. This position involves managing a fleet comprising dozers, graders, trucks, and drills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships at each designated site
  • Use fleet performance data proactively to enhance asset performance
  • Conduct wear management inspections
  • Generate regular reports as needed
  • Collaborate with customers to resolve unplanned downtime promptly
  • Identify sales opportunities and liaise with the Mining Support Representative for follow-up
  • Monitor and assess maintenance and operational practices, along with technology applications affecting machine performance, and propose recommendations for optimizing TCO

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated advanced interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service and relationship management
  • Hands-on experience in maintaining Caterpillar equipment like dozers, trucks, graders, and drills
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and suggest effective solutions
  • Excellent organizational abilities, including managing conflicting priorities
  • High level of initiative and problem-solving capabilities
  • Proficient in analyzing asset health and performance data and preparing comprehensive reports
  • Familiarity with Caterpillar programs such as SIS, ET, SIMSi, TMI (Desirable)
