My Gateway has a fantastic opportunity available for a recent school leaver to join Wollondilly Shire Council as a Library Services Trainee.


As part of this 18 month traineeship, you will complete a
Certificate III in Library and Information Services. This role will involve working within a library in both a customer service position and back office administration role.


Your responsibilities may include:

  • Customer service
  • Loaning and returning books
  • Filing
  • Shelving books
  • Mail outs
  • Data entry
  • Desktop publishing
  • Creating displays
  • Create flyers
  • Set up events
  • Entering information into Council database
  • Create spreedsheets
  • General ADHOC Duties

We are looking for someone with the following attributes:

  • Keen to learn

  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Customer service
experience

  • Working towards obtaining or currently hold a driver's licence
We are looking for someone with a passion for literature, strong customer service and great communication skills.
