Position Overview:


As the Manager of Intelligence Operations at Cubic Defence Australia, you will spearhead the drive for intelligence excellence within our organisation while ensuring the fulfilment of customer expectations to maintain positive relationships.

Leading a dynamic team, you will be responsible for meticulous planning and execution of Advanced Collective Training Core Events, enhancing the competitive advantage of the ADF's largest, most advanced teams.

To meet the extensive and complex planning requirements, Cubic provides specialist HICON Pre-season support and HICON effects, supporting activities from encompassing the tactical level of a combat team up to the higher strategic level represented by a Three Star Headquarters.

This implies coordination and communication between different levels of command for effective military operations.

The role involves shaping and implementing intelligence strategies, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to support national security initiatives. Success in this position demands strategic thinking, operational acumen, and a steadfast dedication to advancing intelligence capabilities. Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Intelligence Leadership:

  • Develop and implement intelligence strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Provide strategic direction for the gathering, analysis, and dissemination of intelligence.

Operational Management:

  • Oversee daytoday intelligence operations, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and compliance with regulations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of intelligence professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and intelligence tools, integrating them into operational practices.
  • Collaborate with technology partners to enhance intelligence capabilities through innovation.

Threat Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough threat assessments and intelligence analysis to inform decisionmaking.
  • Provide timely and accurate intelligence briefings to key stakeholders.

Collaboration and Information Sharing:

  • Foster collaboration with internal and external partners to enhance intelligence capabilities.
  • Establish protocols for secure and effective information sharing within the organisation.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements governing intelligence operations.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports and assessments for senior leadership.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A decadeplus of leadership experience in the field of Defence.
  • Bachelor's degree in Intelligence Studies, Security Studies, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven experience in intelligence operations, with a focus on defence or national security.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Indepth knowledge of intelligence analysis methodologies and tools
  • Familiarity with classified information handling and security protocols.
