The Company

BraveGen have worked hard on their goal to be the number one Carbon and Utilities management platform in New Zealand, and now looking for an Australian based Business Development Manager to propel their growth in the Australian market. BraveGen have already built a powerful foundation set of Australian customers across NAB, BP, Optus, Ampol, WINC, and Fulton Hogan.

BraveGen solutions have been in market for over 10 years, and they are backed by the New Zealand Government's Green Investment Fund to scale the impact of decarbonisation solutions.

The role

Recently funded for growth and aligned for scale, BraveGen are now on the hunt for a motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to expand their reach in Australia.

As a high-calibre senior sales professional, you will have the pivotal role of driving BraveGen's sales and revenue growth. Your expertise in consultative sales will be essential in acquiring new clients within their robust Carbon Accounting product line and related decarbonisation services.

Reporting directly to senior management, this role will not only fuel BraveGen's expansion in Australia but also play a critical role in shaping their product and service development through valuable customer interactions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and nurture a robust sales pipeline through proactive lead generation and engaging new clients.
  • Develop strategic account plans and sales proposals to captivate corporate customers.
  • Own the sales process end-to-end, from initial outreach to finalising partnerships.
  • Contribute to an evolving product and service offerings with valuable insights from customer engagement.
  • Remain at the cutting edge through involvement in conferences and engagement within industry circles

About You

You are an impassioned advocate for the Sustainability transition, ready to make waves with cutting-edge technology. With a hunter's instinct, your background in enterprise sales in the carbon accounting and sustainability space is just the beginning. Your strong network and a track record of success in consultative and solution selling makes you stand out.

If you thrive within complex sales environments, get exhilarated by closing long sales-cycle deals, and have a dedication to both learning and winning, BraveGen is looking for you.

Ideally, you will have:

  • A customer-first mindset aligning with BraveGen's vision for a sustainable future.
  • 3-5+ years in solution or consultative sales roles, with a successful track record in meeting sales targets.
  • Experience in SaaS, sustainability, accounting, or emissions reporting highly regarded.
  • Stellar organisational and problem-solving skills, with a flair for working independently in a dynamic environment.
  • Mastery of consultative and solution sales techniques, driving deals from inception to close.
  • Capacity to travel according to business needs.
