The Opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a talented State Operations Manager to join our Club Operations Team overseeing our 40 Fitness First and Goodlife Health Clubs in Victoria.
The State Operations Manager for Victoria will have responsibility for overseeing a team of Regional Performance Managers as well as overall responsibility for club performance in relation to critical business drivers including member growth, member satisfaction and employee engagement.
Key duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maximise Financial Performance of the State
- Provide Strategic Support and drive accountability to ensure achievement of monthly sales budgets, member growth targets, personal training revenue
- Manage critical P&L Cost lines to budget
- Focus on team member capability through performance management, development and succession planning
- Collaboration with Senior Leadership Team and Department Heads to provide strategic input to broader company initiatives and promotions
- Ownership for the execution of new club acquisitions and closures
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Experience in an Operations Management role managing medium to large sized teams
- Previous experience in the Health and Fitness Industry highly desirable
- Bachelor of Business or other related tertiary degree is desirable but not essential
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to manage and forecast budgets/P&Ls
- Proven track record achieving financial results/KPIs in a customer centric multisite business
- Managing large teams to achieve results and generating buyin to company strategies
- Ability to influence key stakeholders, including Executive level
- Ability to inspire, coach, and develop talent
- Experience engaging and presenting to large groups.
