We are recruiting for casual Vineyard Tractor Drivers to assist in the 2023 harvest period for both our
Barossa Valley and
Adelaide Hills teams.

The casual roles require an immediate start (March 2023).

Reporting to the Vineyard Manager, your primary duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Competently operate vineyard equipment and machinery according to instructions & SOPs.
  • Competently and safely operate tractor for harvesting and/or vineyard maintenance.
  • Support mechanical harvesting activities.
  • Cultivate vine fruit using modern technology.
  • Operate seeding and spreading equipment.
  • Operate specialised canopy management equipment.
  • An understanding and commitment to quality systems.
  • Measure and calculate routine workplace data.
  • General vineyard housekeeping and maintenance.
  • Support and maintain compliance with Food Safety and Quality Management System.
  • Support and maintain compliance with all company HSE policies and safe work practices.
  • Other duties as required.

Experience & Qualifications
Given the nature of the operation, aptitude to work in a changing outdoor environment will be required. Previous vineyard and/or tractor operation experience is preferred. A forklift licence is preferred.


The successful applicant will also have a proven track record in working safely & following instruction and being a true advocate of AVL's vision and values.

Additionally, the successful applicant will be physically fit, a team player & will actively assist the Company in meeting its harvesting and Vintage 2023 targets.
