The Opportunity:

Embark on an exciting 6-month contract opportunity as a Java Developer, based in Melbourne CBD with a flexible work arrangement of 3 days per week. Join a dynamic team where your expertise in Java, Spring Boot, AWS, and DevOps will drive the development of innovative microservices-based applications.

The Role:

  • Serve as a Java Developer, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications within a microservices architecture.
  • Utilize your skills in Java and Spring Boot to build scalable and efficient backend services.
  • Implement and manage cloud-based solutions on the AWS platform.
  • Apply your DevOps knowledge to automate, monitor, and enhance the software development lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, design solutions, and deliver projects on time.
  • Ensure code quality through regular code reviews, testing, and adherence to best practices.
  • Continuously improve and optimize existing applications to enhance performance and reliability.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a Java Developer with strong skills in Java, Spring Boot, and AWS.
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and best practices.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with agile development methodologies and practices.
  • Flexibility to be based in Melbourne CBD 3 days per week.
  • This 6-month contract offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge software solutions in a collaborative and innovative environment.
