THE ROLE
The role of legal assistant is critical to the smooth running of the Dispute Resolution and Insolvency practice team.

This role involves supporting 5 lawyers and 1 paralegal with legal and administrative support, as well as ad hoc day-to-day tasks.


  • General administrative duties such as answering and directing all incoming enquiries as well as diary management and maintenance;
  • Drafting basic legal correspondence and court documents;
  • Collate documents, briefs to counsel and mediator electronic & hard copy;


 Online filing
  • CITEC, eDocs, RedCrest, Federal eLodgement (training provided);
  • File management including opening and closing files, daily maintenance of files;
  • Liaise with clients, law firms, court staff, barristers, suppliers, or other third parties as required;
  • Assist with the implementation of litigation and commercial precedents with thirdparty provider, including basic coding, amendments and creating new templates (training provided); and
  • Assist with monthly invoicing, reporting and ad hoc duties.

ABOUT YOU

To be considered for the role, you will have experience in a Legal Assistant or administration / support role within the legal or professional services industry.


In addtion to this you will have:

  • Litigation and/or commercial experience or a keen interest
  • High level of attention to detail with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality
  • Be able to work 4 days per week
If you are student, you must have a

minimum of 2 years left on your degree
