The Melbourne Clinic is seeking an experienced Allied Health Professional to join the team as the Manager of Allied Health clinicians (psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, art therapists, music therapists). Reporting to the Director of Allied Health, the role will oversee the operational and workforce management of the inpatient therapy programs, and department heads of profession (Clinical Psychology, Neuropsychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy). This role is suited to an experienced clinician with well-developed leadership skills, who enjoys working in a dynamic environment, assisting the allied health team to provide high-quality, patient-led, evidence based mental health care.

The Melbourne Clinic (TMC) is a private adult mental health treatment service, that offers inpatient, outpatient (Day Program) and outreach services. This includes specialist programs in eating disorders, obsessive compulsive disorder, trauma processing, emotional management, dual diagnosis, neurodiversity (Autism and ADHD), older person's mental health and addictive behaviours. A wide range of evidence based treatment therapies are available, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Mindfulness and EMDR. Quality improvement projects are also underway in the areas of family violence support and neurodiversity safe care.

Key Responsibilities:

· Operational management to support program co-ordinators of specialist inpatient programs (e.g. Living Well, Dual Diagnosis, Eating Disorder, Emotional Management and OCD programs) and Heads of Department (e.g. Chief Psychologists, Social Worker and Occupational Therapist).

· People management responsibilities for allied health staff in inpatient programs, including performance reviews, mandatory training, and quality projects.

· Workforce management of allied health staff in inpatient programs, including recruitment, and assisting the managers of Day Program and Outreach with recruitment to Allied Health positions in those services.

· Hold the role of People Representative, supporting a positive and safe workforce culture, and promoting activity on key days throughout the year, e.g. Psychology and Occupational Therapy week(s) and World Social Work Day.

Qualifications and Experience

· Qualification as an Allied Health Professional in a relevant discipline – such as Psychology (Clinical or Neuropsychology), Social Work or Occupational Therapy

· Masters or Doctoral post-graduate qualification in relevant area (desirable)

· Registration with AHPRA (if required for your profession), or eligibility for membership with AASW (for Social Workers)

· 10 years+ experience as a clinician

· Experience working in a private or public mental health setting
