The Animal Hospital At Murdoch University (TAHMU) aims to provide an environment where high professional and clinical standards, based on available scientific evidence, are tempered with genuine care and compassion.

The Role


An exciting opportunity is available for you to join the team at The Animal Hospital At Murdoch University, as a Veterinary Receptionist Your friendly and approachable demeanour will be an asset as you act as a point of contact for clients and visitors at The Animal Hospital.

Your organisational skills will be applied, as you perform reception duties including answering phone calls, arranging appointments and maintaining patient medical records on top of assisting with miscellaneous activities as required.

This opening hours of the referral reception is 7.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday.

What you'll bring to this role

  • A minimum of 3 years experience working in a busy Reception environment combined with proven strong customer service experience in a customerfacing role
  • Previous experience in a similar role in a veterinary hospital, or human health sector
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and ensure relevant information and ensure relevant records are appropriately maintained and up to date.
  • Highly effective communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, and the demonstrated ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with staff at all levels of the organisation.
  • Organisational, time and workload management skills, including the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines.
