The Position

St John of God Hawkesbury District Health Service is a teaching hospital in Windsor NSW, providing acute, community and allied health services for the local community and surrounding areas. Our 131-bed healthcare facility is operated by St John of God Health Care, and provides public patient services under a public-private partnership with the Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District.

A new opportunity has become available for a
Sterilisation Technician Grade 2 or 3 with endoscope experience to join our friendly CSSD Team
.

The position ensures the effective cleaning, decontamination, packing and sterilising of items for reprocessing and utilise equipment associated with the above appropriately.

This position is being offered on a full-time permanent basis, working 38 hours per week.

• A willingness and capacity to embrace the Mission and Values of St John of God Health Care.
• Approved Certificate in Sterilising Technology or equivalent.
• Experience in sterilisation services and instrument processing.
• Experience in the cleaning of endoscopes and willing to participate in further education for endoscopes.
• Experience with loan equipment.
• Ability to demonstrate competencies associated with work practice requirements of CSSD.
• Ability to liaise with colleagues and other health professionals effectively.
• Ability to problem solve effectively.
• Demonstrate commitment to Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Provide quality customer service to all external and internal customers.
• Ability to preceptor junior CSSD caregivers.
• A willingness to further education within the sterilising field.
