The Role


We are seeking a Ticketing and Events Coordinator to coordinate the Ticketing, Events and Front of House function at WAAPA.

This position will manage a small team of Front of House and Ticketing staff and collaborate closely with WAAPA colleagues to ensure first class customer service at the front-face of WAAPA with a focus on transitioning to the ECU City Campus.

This position will also play a leading role in liaising and supporting selected Visiting Artists.


You will be an excellent communicator, capable of working both independently and collaboratively with a range of internal and external stakeholders.

You will be highly organised, comfortable with working to tight deadlines.

You will also enjoy using your highly developed interpersonal and problem-solving skills to resolve issues and devise mutually beneficial solutions.

Key Criteria


To be successful in this role you will have significant experience in ticketing and front of house functions administrative experience, have a genuine curiosity and desire to actively improve business processes, and have experience leading a team.


You will be able to demonstrate:
experience in working within a large, complex organisation, including coordinating complex processes and using multiple systems;
The ability to lead and motivate a team to provide consistent, proactive and excellent customer service.

the ability to plan and co-ordinate multiple projects or events, in compliance with organisational and external policies, processes and standards;
a thorough understanding of, and excellence in, the practices, systems and procedures of providing ticketing and front of house functions;

Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to consult, negotiate and network effectively with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.


the ability to work autonomously, take direction and motivate self and team members in a busy environment when managing competing priorities and deadlines.

Benefits & Remuneration

This full time, ongoing position attracts remuneration of $88,973 to $95,993 pa (HEW 6) plus 17% University superannuation contribution.
