The Opportunity:

Aon Risk Accounting is looking for an intern to join their team within Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC).


As an intern, you will gain experience in either the preparation of business interruption insurance claims, economic loss assessment, litigation support, fraud investigation or forensic accounting.

Continued growth in this role will see you develop knowledge to analyse Profit and Loss statement and ability to complete financial modelling and trend analysis.

You will be provided with the necessary training and support to perform in this role by a range of colleagues across the AGRC business.


Key responsibilities will include:

  • Investigate, research and collate financial, statistical and other information for inclusion in detailed reports
  • Review claim related costs, P&L statements and Policy coverage.
  • Undertake financial analysis for quantification of damages/losses and extrapolation of data
  • Research and analyse specific industries/organisations, identify issues and draw conclusions
  • Assist in drafting reports on findings
  • Communicate and liaise with insurance brokers within Aon and to external clients
  • You will learn about aspects of Audit, Financial Accounting, Forensic Accounting and Insurance.

About you:

  • An interest in risk consulting within financial services and/or insurance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including report writing ability
  • Critical thinking, problemsolving, numeracy and analytical skills
  • Proactive, selfstarter, agile learner
  • Mature and professional demeanour
  • Ability to work as an integral part of a team, fostering teamwork and cultivating relationships
  • Ability to work independently or with mínimal direction as required
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office products such as Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Relevant University Degree I.e. Finance, Economics, Business, Commerce; desire to complete CA or CPA in the future
  • Involvement in extracurricular activities
