Due to these project successes, we require a
Purchasing Officer to work within our Commercial Team from our Head Office in Belmont - Monday to Friday.


About the Role


The Purchasing Officer is responsible for the co-ordination and management of all purchasing activities, ensuring streamlined and cost-effective purchasing, abiding by the RUC Purchasing Governance and Buying Guide to deliver goods and services across the organisation.


Core Responsibilities:

  • Ensure competent quality execution of all regular purchasing duties and administrative works.
  • Expediting of goods and services purchase orders and relaying any delays back to site.
  • Quoting and sourcing of goods and services in line with the RUC Buying Guide Policy
  • Maintain complete updated purchasing records/data and pricing in the system.
  • Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned
  • Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
  • Coordinate with suppliers to ensure ontime delivery.
  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
  • Purchase and issue order in accordance with specifications.
  • Source for new parts, suppliers, or subcontractors when the need arises
  • Support the procurement manager and category specialist with the development of supplier agreements & implementation of procurement policies in line with best practice.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by constantly looking for opportunities to improve purchasing service.
  • Undertake all monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting requirements to RUC as requested.

About You
years' experience in a purchasing environment

  • Have good organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Underground Mining Experience
  • A good understand and grasp on contracts review
  • Have intermediate excel skills and have experience using Epicor
  • Rapport building skills with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels
  • Valid WA Manual C class Driver's license
