The Opportunity In this role, you will report to the Haulage Superintendent and work on an 2:1 roster as part of our Yilgan Iron Ore operations in Western Australia.

Your focus will be on providing management for all labour and contract resources, managing the day-to-day functions of safe and efficient asset maintenance, ensuring safe systems of work are employed and cost effective.

Your primary responsibilities will include:
Proficient with budgeting activities, financial reporting systems and Excel, data sourcing and manipulation and KPI report writing/development.
Extensive knowledge of heavy vehicles and ancillary mining equipment.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of asset management principles and standards.
Accountable for the development and implementation of asset reliability and availability strategies.
Responsible for monitoring and reviewing goods and services contract negotiations and supplier performance, including subcontractors.
Responsible for the clarification and ongoing VOC, qualifications, and training of all personnel for direct roles and HSEQT requirements.

Accountable for the efficient, safe management of all maintenance activities, facilities, and asset movements, Responsible for the safe, efficient use or operation and compliant condition of tools, equipment, and mechanical aids.

Responsible for identifying, tagging out, and requesting the replacement of damaged tools and equipment.
Accountable for maintaining compliance with the appropriate vehicle licences, high-risk tickets, and the like.
Responsible for compliant disposal of generated waste streams.
Accountable for the direction and compliant processing, dissemination, and record-keeping of asset and facilities statutory management.

What is Required?Our ideal candidate will have a minimum 5 years' experience demonstrated in a similar role with success in leadership, coordinating multiple trades and building relationships.

With experience in coordinating warehouse logistic operations in mining environments Other key skills, experience, and qualifications: Trade qualification: Heavy Diesel Mechanical and/ or qualifications in Business or Mechanical Engineering.

Proficient with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and procurement software.10 years in a mining or Heavy Haulage environment.

Extensive maintenance and operational capabilities of various heavy vehicle and ancillary plant and equipment.
