We have an opportunity based in Katanning for an experienced Electrical Tradesperson for a permanent position.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of electrical and instrumentation services including installation, testing, maintenance, fault finding, repair and commissioning of all Water Corporation's assets throughout the Region.

We are seeking an individual who takes ownership of their work area and is able to work effectively independently but also contributes to a positive team environment and safety culture.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be responsible for the provision of electrical and instrumentation services including scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance and installation, testing, fault finding, repair and enhance reliability of electrical and instrumentation assets within the Water and Wastewater industry. You're always looking to develop your skills and with water Corporation, you can take advantage of the recognised industry training and a structured career pathway and your eagerness to mentor and train others, including apprentices, is also valued.

You will be willing to Participate in the Standby (on call) roster where you will provide breakdown and after-hours support services.

Main Duties will involve:

·Performs scheduled and unscheduled (breakdown) maintenance on High Voltage assets including HV switching units and Motors.

·Performs complex isolation and shutdowns

·Complex problem solving of water systems, wastewater systems and chemical dosing systems

Key skills and experience:

We are seeking a Trade qualifiedElectrician, ideally possessing trade experience in water supply and wastewater services with the ability to repair and overhaul equipment, such as pumps, gearboxes and valves.

Your dedication to Occupational Health and Safety including hazard identification and well developed communication skills are essential for this position along with the following:

·Electrical Trade Certificate

·Instrumentation Certificate

·Relevant High Risk Licences

·Current Drivers Licence

·Demonstrated experience in PLC, SCADA and telemetry systems.

·Considerable trade experience in water supply and wastewater services.

·Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health requirements including hazard identification
