The Role:

***At Johns Lyng MakeSafe Builders, we pride ourselves on providing quality make safe building services, from broken windows to house demolitions, tarping roofs and propping up walls.


Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be utilising your construction knowledge and personable approach to home and business owners to provide make safe building services, carry out temporary emergency repairs to homes, schools and businesses and provide peace of mind to clients in stressful situations.

This position will be a

full-time permanent opportunity, commencing as soon as possible

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide peace of mind to clients in stressful situations
  • Conduct temporary make safe repairs to homes, businesses & government assets
  • Ensure standard of workmanship is above & beyond industry expectations
  • Build relationships with colleagues & subcontractors
  • Liaise with engineers, administration staff & internal business units
  • Ensure all work conforms to legislative & contractual OHS requirements
  • Attend to service calls within a timely manner

Key Selection Criteria:

  • Experience in Carpentry, qualifications desired however not essential
  • Make Safe or Insurance Building background advantageous, however not essential
  • Excellent communication & relationship building skills
  • Ability to be empathetic to the needs of the client
  • Exceptional organisational & time management skills
  • Current & valid motor vehicle licence
  • Construction White Card required
  • Working with Children Check or ability to obtain
