Medical Receptionist Traineeship

Maxima, in partnership with our host employer, are looking for a committed individual to undertake a business traineeship as a receptionist within a busy Ophthalmology (eye condition specialist) practice.
Day-to-day you will act as the face of the business and learn the skills to handle a busy reception desk.
Upon completion you could progress into various roles including a patients' officer, management positions and more.
Over the course of 18-months, gain a nationally recognised
Certificate III in Business within the
Medical Stream, paid industry experience to support your study, and continuous mentoring from a dedicated Maxima Consultant.
Duties Include:
- Meet and greet patients and visitors
- Maintain and manage patient records
- Answer incoming telephone calls and followup where required
- Maintain reception and waiting area
- General administration tasks including photocopying etc.
About You:
- Displays a positive and proactive attitude
- Demonstrates high attention to detail
- Works effectively as part of a team and under limited supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Effective organisational and time management skills
- Strong work ethic; reliable and punctual
Role Requirements:
- Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
- COVID19 Vaccinations (including booster)
- Previous customer service experience
- Reliable transport
