As a Senior Program Financial Controller, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining the frameworks for project cost control

Duties include:

  • Resource time cost accounting reconciliation, accruals and variance reporting.
  • Program revenue recognition reporting.
  • Develop framework and provide support to shape financial budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis to enable financial decision impacting the program.
  • Optimise resource timesheet collection process across multiple global business units for reconciliation into the Program ledger.
  • Preparation of periodic Program P&L Reports for PMO and Executive leadership review.
Collaboration is a vital aspect of this position. You will work closely with the Program Leadership team to analyse financial performance drivers and identify trends. Your deep understanding of operational tools, processes, and industry regulations will ensure accurate cost forecasting and recording.

You'll also liaise with support groups and cross-functional teams, such as Legal/Commercial Management, Divisional Finance Leadership, Peer Global Financial Controllers and the PMO Leadership Team.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • Business degree with an Accounting/Finance focus and a CA/CPA qualification or in progress.
  • Knowledge of project control practices, including work breakdown structures, budgeting, and financial reporting, is crucial.
  • Project accounting experience is preferred, including commercial/Govt/Defence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and adaptability to inhouse ERP tools like SAGE and Oracle Financials is required. Skills in MS SharePoint, Power BI, Visio, and Project are beneficial. Strong communication, adaptability, problemsolving, and teamwork skills are essential, along with a proactive, cando attitude.
