About the role

About the Role

The Storesperson will work as part of a team that are in charge of the daily functioning of OA's store facilities, including the loading, unloading and storage of production equipment.

This position is integral to the ongoing management of all Opera Australia equipment at our stores location based in Mount Kuring-Gai.

This is a casual position and working hours may vary depending on the business requirements.

Key Areas of Focus

• Assist with the loading and unloading of trucks and deliveries
• Assist with the construction and deconstruction of rehearsal setups
• Working at various OA Locations, sites and facilities as required by the Sydney Store HOD
• Carry out tasks in line with Sydney Stores Daily Operations
• Management and maintenance of the Sydney Store Facility
• Undertake maintenance and repairs of Opera Australia assets as directed
• Ensure cleanliness of work areas
• Take reasonable care of your own health and safety and that of others
• Ensure that your acts or omissions do not adversely affect others
• Comply with OA SAFE and any reasonable instructions, policies, and procedures given by OA to enable OA to comply with WHS laws and maintain a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Demonstrate problem solving, technical and communicating skills
• Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively within a team
• Ability to work under pressure, using tact, diplomacy, and flexibility
• Ability to complete manual handling tasks and operate power tools
• Ability to work under direction from Team Leaders, Supervisors and Stores HOD

Preferred

• Experience preferred but not required in the use of basic hand tools and basic power tools
• Knowledge of inventory management
• Current HRW Forklift License
• Class C Driver's License
• Construction Induction Card
• 1 year's proven experience in the area(s) of warehouse logistics or laboring
