About the role:

We currently have an opening for an experienced
Detailer at
Smart Steel in our
Malaga branch.
This role will report to the Design manager, include duties such as:

  • Professionally Steel detail using Endurocad & Smartsteel software programs.
  • Capable of 3D modelling & using 3D software.
  • Liaise with customers & engineers to confirm projects for production.
  • Arrange production jobs ready for rollforming as per Smartsteel procedures.
  • Capable of reading client architectural & structural drawings.
  • Ensure quality procedures and targets are being achieved.
  • Software training & meeting endurocad detailing standards.
  • Software training & assistance to new detailers
  • Assist with design solutions in collaboration with the design manager.
  • Assist with material takeoffs & assist on collaborating quotes for Smartsteel tenders.
  • Assist with EnduroHub/rollformer requirements/errors on a needbyneed basis.
  • Liaise with builders & installers for site query assistance.
  • Competence in use of Endurocad & Sketchup 3D software is expected by the Smartsteel detailing team.
  • Experience in a manufacturing / fabrication environment
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work unsupervised
  • Excellent customer service / negotiation skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Sound computer skills and familiar with MS Office
